I’m not sure why it took so long to talk about Dottie’s True Blue Cafe, but here it is. This restaurant is by far one of the best places to eat in San Francisco. It’s a small place with maybe only ten tables to sit customers. One cook, and usually two waiters/waitresses. On an average day, Dottie’s will have a line out front. The line can take an anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. Hopefully no longer. So it’s recommended that you plan ahead. In my opinion, it’s worth the wait. Dottie’s is mainly a breakfast diner. Serving your simplest meals to your most extravagant. The cook is the owner so you can expect your meal to taste delicious every time! Like I said, there’s only one cook. He’s pretty dang good at what he does as well. If you get the chance, sit at the breakfast bar and watch him make all the meals. Its mesmerizing.
The best part about all this is it’s not all that expensive! It’s about the average cost for breakfast. I’ll usually spend about $14 bucks on a meal and coffee. I honestly don’t mind at all either considering the portions are well over the amount I can eat. (And I can put it back.) If you get the chance and have the time to dine at Dottie’s, do it! Everyone needs to try it.
